Halo and Marathon connection

That little circly thing between the “A” and the “L”. It’s the “Marathon” logo, which is Bungie’s first FPS game:

The characters in Marathon were called Spartans (or was it just Bob? I can’t remember), and looked an awful lot like Master Chief.
