I dont know if it has been mentioned allready.

Guybrush in the Monkey island games was named so because the brush in the software used to draw the frames of his animation was named “guybrush”

At least get it right: His sprite file was named “guy” until they could think of a better name, and the file filename extension for the program was brush, thus – guy.brush, so his nickname by the team was Guybrush, which they later used for the game. Threepwood was a name for a RPG character of one of the guys working on the game, if I remember correctly.
